Six Strangers appear unannounced during the editing of a docu-drama declaring themselves fictional characters in search of an author. As their compelling narrative unfolds, the documentary maker begins to film their story and reality and fiction become increasingly blurred.

Following his multi award-winning production of Macbeth (Chichester, West End and Broadway), Rupert Goold directs a cast lead by Ian McDiarmid (winner of both Olivier and Tony Awards and former Artistic Director of the Almeida Theatre) and including Jamie Bower, Eleanor David, Noma Dumezweni, Dyfan Dwyfor, Christine Entwisle, Denise Gough, Jake Harders, Jeremy Joyce, John Mackay, Freya Parker and Robin Pearce.
